I am excited to share my journey that beautifully unites my passions for travel and cooking. Growing up in a family where the women loved to cook, I was immersed in a world of culinary delights and hospitality. Our holiday gatherings were serious affairs, with large, beautifully decorated tables filled with a variety of dishes.
My childhood was spent at the intersection of Europe and Asia, where the traditions of the Silk Road influenced our menu. We enjoyed a blend of Scandinavian Viking delicacies alongside Persian and Arabic cuisine, not to mention the renowned oriental sweets and pastries.
At 18, I embarked on my travels, adding new countries, continents, and oceans to my experiences. I eagerly explored local traditions and cuisines, falling in love with Indian, Thai, and Malay flavors. The Caribbean captivated me with its stunning beaches and vibrant food, which fuses influences from Spain, Africa, China, and local spices.
When Canada became my new home, I turned my passion into a profession as a chef. I worked for well-known catering companies, where I merged traditional North American dishes with popular recipes from my travels across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Africa.
Today, I focus on treating my guests to freshly baked healthy bread and sourdough products, using traditional recipes passed down from my grandmothers. I invite you, dear friends, to join me on a gastronomic journey featuring fruits and vegetables sourced from local farms, crafted by a travel enthusiast and collector of recipes from around the world.
